Airbnb doesn’t allow Stays to send the listing’s registration number through the API. So, if your region requires this code, you’ll need to add it directly on Airbnb.
When you connect a listing created in Stays to Airbnb, it’s common to see the following message:
- Validation: You need to register your listing in order to publish it.
This error shows up because Airbnb doesn’t receive the registration number through the API, so it requires you to enter the code directly on the platform before the listing can go live.
How to fix it
Follow the step-by-step instructions within Airbnb:
- Access you Airbnb listing editor;
- Click on [Settings];
- Under [Edit preferences] click on [Regulations];
- In the field [Add a registration number], click on [Start] and type your number.
Each city or country may have different rules and different pages. Airbnb shows the instructions directly in the platform based on the property’s location.
After you add the registration number
Once you enter the registration number and Airbnb validates it, the sync with Stays will start working normally again.
