To configure your additional children policy for Airbnb through Stays.net, you must follow the steps below:
- Access the lodging page;
- Access the [Content] tab;
- Select [House Rules];
- In the fields about children and babies, mark [Yes] or [No], according to your policy;
- Save the changes made at the top right side of the page.
In addition to the option of accepting children and babies or not, you can count on a text area to describe in more detail guidelines about your lodging for guests with babies or children.
The option of accepting children or not on Airbnb has the following behavior based on what you have marked:
Option | Behavior on Airbnb |
---|---|
Yes | With the [Yes] option you will allow your guests to choose your lodging and the number of children and babies desired and proceed with the instant booking on Airbnb![]() |
No | The [No] option makes it so your guest have to consult you before booking the lodging, if they include that they have children or babies in the stay. |
Another important point to note is that the field on the number of children and babies is not related to Airbnb!
Airbnb has a clear policy regarding the counting of children and babies on reservations:
Field | Airbnb Policy |
---|---|
Children | Airbnb considers children to be between 2 and 12 years old. For them, the base capacity is the same as the maximum number of guests in the listing, however as reservations are made per adult, the limit is variable per reservation. Example: Your lodging accepts a maximum of 5 guests. If there are 3 adults in the reservation, the children limit for this stay will be 2 children. |
Babies | Airbnb considers as babies up to the age of 2 years. For babies, the default capacity, regardless of the listing, is up to 5 babies beyond the maximum listing capacity, that is, the number of babies is default on Airbnb if you accept it in your listings. As with children, it is not possible to charge additional fees on Airbnb in relation to this. |
