Stays helps you to connect and manage your listings in a simple way with Despegar. In this guide, you will find step by step to configure the connection to Despegar via Stays and send the listings to your channel.

1. Activate Despegar on the App Center
Before starting, it is necessary to activate the connection to the channel. To do that, go to the [App Center > Channels] menu of your Stays.net and select Despegar. After that, click [Active] and then click [Save], according to the image below. Update the system's page.
The Despegar option will be generated into the [Channel Managers] menu on your system. Click on it to proceed. If the option does not appear immediately, just wait from 2 to 3 minutes.
2. Select the partnership with Despegar
Inside [Channel Managers > Despegar] on your Stays.net, click on [Account > Link new account], fill out the Information about the Host down below and save it.
Despegar will email you with a link to confirm your information - it can take a few minutes. Click on this link to authenticate the email address and to accept Terms and Conditions.
Go back to the previous screen on Stays.net and click on [Sync] to confirm the account's validation. The new connection status will be "Terms and Conditions accepted".
After the authentication is finished, you will have your Despegar Legal Entity ID on Stays.net and can proceed with the connection.
3. Configure the Channel Manager
Before sending your listings to Despegar, you need to adjust your Channel Manager settings so that the connection is in line with your policies and also Despegar policies. It is also important to align your reservations operation and prices.
Access [Channel Manager > Despegar] and click on [Settings] to make the necessary adjustments. See in the chart what you can do in each tab:
|User||In the Administrator or Agency Plan, you will be able to define which member of your team will be responsible for the reservations that arrive through Despegar.|
In addition, it is possible to select a listing owner, if you want.
|Finance||You will be able to configure an increase in the value of your original daily rates when sending prices to the channel, as a way of balancing your income with the commission charged by Despegar on Reservations.|
In addition, in the Agency Plan it is possible to define in which accounting position the values referring to the channel commission will be allocated.
|Communication with guests||In this area, among other configuration there is the section Communication with guests where you can set the person responsible for receiving contact from Decolar guests. In addition you can set a person responsible per listing.|
|Cancellation Policies||You must relate your cancellation policies with the Despegar models that are most compatible with your policy.|
Remember that Despegar cancellation policy is the one that will prevail in reservations made on the channel.
|Fees & Taxes||You must relate your additional fees configured on Stays with existing fees on Despegar.|
This link is essential for your charges to reach the channel and it is important that you understand the Despegar fee policies in order to correctly follow the channel guidelines.
4. Create your listings on Despegar via Stays
To create listings on Despegar with your Stays.net registration, go to [Channel Managers > Despegar > Listings] and follow the steps below:
Make the location connection. To do that, choose a listing and click on [Connect].
Select the [Create a location on the channel] option.
By the end of this process, you will receive a Despegar location ID and your location will be created, according to the example below:
After the location is connected, you must connect the listings. Select the desired listing - listings options are just below the lcoation - and click on [Connect].
After that, click on the [Create listing] option and confirm.
The listing will have an identifier number next to it, that means that your location already has a linked listing.
Despegar team will contact you by email with a document form. After you fill out the necessary information and send it to the channel, a content's validation will be sent.
As soon as Despegar confirm the validation, your listings will already be published!
